  • (f) Selection and Admission Procedure.
    • (i) All candidates have to appear in the All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) conducted by NBE (website:- www.nbe.gov.in/aipgmee).
    • (ii) Concurrently, candidates have to register on the AFMS website www.afmcdgid.gov.in.
    • (iii) Only those candidates who have qualified with 50% marks in AIPGMEE will be eligible and considered for counseling.
    • (iv) For the qualified and already registered candidates, online counseling will be conducted by the O/O DGAFMS to allot the various PG seats.
    • (v) Out of the 10 seats in MD (Aerospace Medicine), 07 are offered to AFMS officers (Priority - I) and 03 are offered to civilian candidates (Priority V). For the civilian candidates, 01 seat is reserved for SC/ST and 02 seats belong to general category.
    • (vi) After allotment of seat, the candidate undergoes a detailed medical examination at IAM, IAF. If the medical board declares him/her 'fit', then, the individual is admitted for the MD (Aerospace Medicine) course.
    • (vii) All civilian PG residents are paid stipend as laid down by Govt of Karnataka (i.e.) @ Rs. 30,000/-, Rs. 35,000/- and Rs. 40,000/- for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year respectively.
    • (viii) No accommodation is provided to civilian PG residents by the Institute. AFMS medical officers are provided with the entitled accommodation.
