Scholarships for children of AF personnel
  • Scholarships for children of AF personnel
  • Merit Based Scholarships are provided to the children of AF personnel (Serving, Retired & deceased). The scholarship is provided on a yearly basis. Currently there are 2723 vacancies. Applications are received up to 31 Oct of every year and scholarship are finalised by Jan of next year. The cheques are enclosed with pay slip of the month of Jan every year.

  • Eligibility for further Grant
  • 1.    Receipt of the following documents:
          (a) Cheque Receipt
          (b) Certificate from School
          (c) Mark sheet (in case of merit-based scholarship)
          (d) Study Certificate (in case of scholarships for Physically Handicapped/ Mentally       Challenged cases)

    2.    In case of merit based scholarships, further grant will be released only in case the student possesses the qualifying marks (45% in Serving NC(E)s School category and 60% in all other categories).

  • Q. What procedure should be undertaken if the cheque gets lost/ torn?
    A. If the cheque gets lost or torn, an indemnity bond should be filled and sent to this organization, mentioning the cheque details.


    Q. Is the cheque is issued in Child's name or personnel's name?
    A. The cheque is issued in Child's name in case of wards of serving, retired or deceased personnel and in NoK's name in cases of wards(who are physically Handicapped/ Mentally Challenged) of deceased personnel.
